Topdressing
Topdressing involves spreading a thin layer of organic material - typically compost of soil - over the surface of the lawn. This improves soil structure, supports microbial activity, and helps even out low or bumpy areas. When combined with overseeding, topdressing enhances seed-to-soil contact, which is essential for germination. It also promotes healthier root development by enriching the top layer soil with nutrients.
